Sree Narasimha Maha Mantra

Benefits of narasimha mantra

Narasimha Mantras, also known as Kavacha, have the power to protect those who chant it. Kavacha 's literal meaning is the shield or breast plate that the soldiers wear to protect their bodies from the lethal weapons during wars. The Kavacha mantras serve likewise as defensive shields to protect the devotees' welfare.

Narasimha, who is one of Lord Vishnu's most powerful avatars (the guardian in the Hindu Triad) is considered to be fierce in battling and eliminating all evil and thereby protecting all of his devotees from any negative aspect of life. He is known to be the symbol of the triumph of good over evil.
Vishnu assumed this fearsome form atop Himvat (Harivamsa) peak. It is believed that he took the avatar to defeat the demon king Hiranyakashipu.

Lord Narasimha is said to have the appearance of a half human and a half lion, where the torso and the lower body are the appearance of a human while the face and the claws are the appearance of a fierce lion. Lord Narasimha is described in various forms in conjunction with the bodily appearances and is said to have more than 74 forms with respect to different postures and weapons that he holds in his hands.
